You may be aware of the Virtual Design Master competition which is currently in Season 2. The event theme is based upon the “Zombie Apocalypse”, where you are given a set of business requirements and you have 4 days to develop a design with limited resources that is then assessed by the judging panel. Each season has three challenges with eliminations and then a finale to determine the winner. I was so impressed by the competition that I sponsored it with my own time and money. I urge you to do the same, the more we support community events such as these, the greater the benefit to the community, thus producing great architects.
For any “VCDX candidates” out there, when Season 3 is announced, I urge you to sign up. The vDM competition is a “mini VCDX” engagement, where you will quickly discover if you have what it takes to become a VCDX. Plus you have the chance to mingle with some really cool, smart people and possibly win some great prizes. If you are already a VCDX, then volunteer your time for the judging panel, I know I will for Season 3.
