I took the VMware Certified Master Specialist – VMware Cloud on AWS Exam recently and these are the study links I used:
- VMware Cloud on AWS Homepage
- VMware Cloud on AWS TechZone
- VMware Cloud on AWS Documentation
- VMware Cloud on AWS Sizer (VMC Sizer)
- VMware Cloud on AWS Release Notes
- VMware Cloud on AWS Configuration Maximums
- VMware Product Interoperability Matrices
- VMware Compatibility Guide
- NOTE: The 2019 version of this certification had quite a few prerequisite courses which have now been simplified into one VMware Cloud on AWS: Deploy, Configure, Manager 2021 course that has a variety of delivery options.
- NOTE: Make sure you understand how to use VMC Sizer with the Quick Sizer and Advanced Sizer modes.
- NOTE: The VMware Cloud on AWS service is comprised of a broad range of VMware products. It would be beneficial to have a good understanding of VMware vSphere, VMware NSX-T, VMware vSAN, VMware HCX and VMware SRM.
- NOTE: VMware Cloud on AWS can also leverage the vRealize Cloud suite of products (vROps Cloud, vRLI Cloud, vRNI Cloud, vRA Cloud); make sure you understand the vRealize Cloud suite.
- NOTE: Not many people have access to the VMware Cloud on AWS service, however, if you can sign up for an AWS-led VMware Cloud on AWS Immersion Day, VMware partner-led training or VMware-led training, it will give you the best chance of passing this exam.
- NOTE: The sample questions listed in the exam blueprint are an accurate representation of the actual exam.
- NOTE: This exam is 2 hours 10 minutes long and it should be an adequate amount of time to fully read and review each of the 65 questions. Time management is important and using the Flag Question feature of the test platform is the best way to maintain your momentum by answering the questions you are completely sure of and then circling back later to the ones that require more thought (these are the ones you flag).
