This was my third VMworld and I had a great time mixing and talking to people. My favourite areas were the Hang-Space and Solutions Exchange. The purpose of this post is to summarise my thoughts on where the industry is heading and how we as participants need to adapt.
VMworld 2015 US
VMware EVO SDDC (previously known as EVO:RACK) has been announced. It will be interesting to see how VCE will use EVO SDDC Manager to complement VCE Vision.
VMware has introduced vSphere Integrated Containers and the Photon Platform as part of their Cloud Native Application offering for Production-grade Container Infrastructure.
VMware Virtual SAN version 6.1 has been announced. This is the third evolution of the platform and it certainly is maturing.
CloudPhysics has announced a new release of their analytics platform.
VMware Unified Hybrid Cloud has been announced.
VMware Site Recovery Manager version 6.1 has been announced. It fits under the umbrella of VMware Unified Hybrid Cloud, however deserves a post on its own.
